Super cheap Nerf Rayven

I found this super cheap deal on the Nerf Rayven at the Walmart next to my house in New Jersey.  They had a good stock still and they are only $9.50!

Wow...that's a low price!

Hey everyone,

So as Contagion week (modified version of HvZ) starts on the 23rd, many of the students are going and buying Nerf blasters for this special event.  While I was over hearing them talk, they start talking about prices.  After talking to them, apparently there is a huge sale at Atlantic Superstore by my school.  Here is a small rough price list of the blasters they had:

  • Nerf Praxis - $7.44
  • Nerf Proton - $7.47
  • Nerf Vigilon - $9.47
  • Nerf Maverick - $5.95
  • Nerf Nitefinder - $6.99
  • Nerf Jolt - $.74
I almost died!  If I had the money I would have bought so much!  Unfortunately, the Jolt was out of stock or I would have bought about five of them.  I do not know why they have their stuff so cheap.  But the cool thing is that people found out that I know how to mod blasters and so I am getting a bunch of requests to mod blasters.  I have already modded 2 mavericks in the past 3 hours and people are still going out and buying blasters.  One guy is giving me cash to mod his, and the other guy actually bought me the Nerf Praxis that is on sale.  I don't know if I will open/use it.  May just keep it and sell it later on down the road.  But I was shocked at how low the prices are.

***Quick Reminder: Please go and vote on which blaster(s) I should use for this Contagion game that we will be playing.***

Dollar Store Blaster Guide

Found this little toy sitting in the garbage in my dorm.  I decided to pick it up and check it out since I am done with all my finals and I have nothing better to do than take apart things :)  It worked but it was very weak and shot a Nerf dart about 5 feet.  So I decided to open it and see if I can find anything of use in it.  Here are some pictures of the short 10 minute project.

Size compared to Nerf Jolt
Internals of what looks like the simplest blaster ever!
Plunger rod that was broken.
3 Barrel rotating system that needs to be rotated by hand.
This was a quick and fun little thing.  I was thinking about idea's I could do with it, and nothing came to mind.  So I decided to keep the 2 springs and the screws just as extra parts.  I do not recommend buying dollar store blasters...just saying!  Thanks for reading :)

First Electric Nerf Blaster

A couple weeks ago I put up a post about cheap nerf blasters and how you should try and buy them used from people around your area.  Well it is coming to the end of the school year here at my university and people are getting ready to pack up.  Every year at this time, people send out emails about stuff they are selling or getting rid of and many times they have Nerf guns because they buy it for one occasion and then don't use it again.

Today I got an email and replied as soon as I could.  All I saw was "Electric Nerf Gun -$5".  I was the first to reply.  I had no idea what it was but I told the person that I wanted it.  I go to meet the person and they handed me a Nerf Barricade loaded with 10 whistler darts!  I was so excited!  This is my first electric blaster.  I was so happy that I got it for this price as well since they go for about $15.  I will be modding this blaster once I get settled back home and find some time.

Thanks for reading and stay posted :)

Cheap Nerf Blasters

I have been looking around a lot lately to get some more blasters.  As money is always an issue, Nerf and other related dart blaster can get very pricey.  But while I was looking around online for where I could get some cheap blasters, I realized that I could get them used and still in decent condition from people that are local.

The past few days I have found dozens of posts of people that are selling or just getting rid of there Nerf blasters, and usually you can get them for very cheap.  I usually use Craigslist, but there are many different sites similar to it that you may know of that are more local to your area or country. (Kijiji is what they use in Canada)  Since this is sales/trades that you do locally, you do have to be cautious of scammers, so take precautions when meeting with people so you know its legit. (Don't go alone, meet in public places, etc...)

I have even posted an ad on there offering my services of either fixing, modding, or just taking blasters that are not wanted or want to be upgraded.  I was surprised at how many people responded with wanting me to fix their blasters that their kids just used as pretend toys but just needed a little TLC :-)

Hope this little tip may help some of you as you are searching for ways of acquiring new blasters that are relatively cheap!  Thanks for reading.

P.S. - I am getting the putting together another post of a Nerf blaster that should be posted very soon.  So keep an eye open for it!
