Jake: Painted Nerf Praxis

Here are some more blasters that my buddy Jake painted.  They are also both modded.  The white and black one is his and the red and black one is his son's.  Both blasters were sand blasted and then painted.

For this blaster, Jake was going for a snow camo look.  He used a white base coat and then used black hobby paint to do the tree branches.  He finished the whole thing with a clear coat to protect it from scratches.

For this blaster, they put a black base coat down and then did a layer of red on top.  This one is for his son and will be used very often.

If you have any comments please just post them and I will be sure to let Jake and his son know.  Thanks for viewing!

Modified Nerf Nitefinder

Here is my Nerf Nitefinder.  This is the blaster I worked on with my friends this past weekend.  This is my first Nitefinder mod that I have done.  I took the AR out to get more air flow.  I also wanted to do a coupler mod but didn't have the right items.  So instead, I found some copper tubing that fit perfectly around a dart and a copper coupler to fit it.   So I attached the coupler to the plastic barrel piece and then glued it all together.  The seal is almost 100%.  I did not put a new spring in since I did not have one laying around.  The blaster only shoots about 15 feet unfortunately and I can't seem to figure out why its so week.  For the paint job I used a black base and accented some parts in gold.  Let me know what you think about the paint job.

Jake: Modified Nerf Maverick

Here is the gun that my friend Jake worked on while we were modding and painting some Nerf blasters this weekend.  He is big into hunting and modeled it off of camo colors.

Internal mods that were done include removing the AR's, removing the locks, putting pennies behind the spring, and having a full barrel drop.  He really greased the internal parts up after painting so that all the parts run as smooth as possible.

As for the paint job, the blaster was completely taken apart and then sand blasted.  After sand blasting it and cleaning it off, he began painting.  He only used one color but it came our really nice.  He left the trigger and barrel orange to go with his hunting theme.  The blasters paint job is extremely smooth and love the feel of it.

Jake does not have a blog, but I will be sure to let him know of any comments that are sent. Feel free to comment and share your opinion.  Also if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Matt: Modified Nerf Maverick

This is the first of a series of posts that will be coming out very shortly.  Over the weekend, some friends and myself decided to mod some of our Nerf blasters and give them a new look.  We went out and got a sand blaster to try out and see how it works in preparing the blaster for painting.  The sand blaster was a great resource and helped preparing the blaster for painting.  It reaches those hard spots that you can't really get with a piece of sandpaper.  I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about painting their guns and getting really nice paint jobs out of it.
This one here is my roommate Matt's Nerf Maverick.  Has all basic internal mods: AR removed, penny mod, full drop barrel, dart pegs removed.  We then sanded it and painted it.  He wanted to just test out a whole bunch of different things.  Here are some pictures of his finished project.

Matt doesn't have a blog but any comments you post I will be sure to notify him.

Thanks for viewing!!

***Be sure keep your eye out for the other blasters that we painted***

Nerf Alpha Trooper Mod Guide

Here are my mods for the Nerf Alpha Trooper

Mods:
  1. Locks removed
  2. Tape over air hole
  3. Jam Door moves freely
  4. Tape on plunger to increase spring compression
Internals
Close up of internals
Locks Removed
Air release hole covered
Tap added to better compression
In order to open the jam door anytime, I shaved some of the plastic so it doesn't catch the bolt sled
Last look at internals before closing it up
All put together
I was scared to do this mod because I love my alpha trooper and know how difficult it is to get a hold of one.  Since I do not have all my normal tools with me, I was not able to remove the AR at this point in time.  But I do plan on removing it in the very near future. (I will post an update when I do remove the AR and possibly paint it)  Just with the mods I did, I am getting an extra 5-10 feet out of it.  I can't wait to use this in future battles!  If you have any questions please feel free to ask!  Thanks for viewing!

Dan: Modified Nerf Spectre

Here is a sweet paint job and cosmetic mod to a Nerf Spectre that was submitted by my friend Dan.  Has the AR's removed and will be adding a OMW spring along with a red dot sight to the blaster.  The cool part of this is the stock.  He did not use the folding stock that comes with the Spectre but instead modified a recon stock to his liking.

I have seen some of his other work and he does a great job!  He is very talented and I hope to get more submissions from him in the future.

He does not have a blog or place for you to contact him but still show him some love in the comments section below!

Youtube Channel Up

Hey everyone, so about a week ago I had a poll on whether I should make a Youtube channel and start doing videos.  The majority vote was for YES so here is my first video that I have made and a link to my Youtube channel.  Be sure to subscribe to it and share my blog with others!

Videos?

Hey everyone, for the past few days I was thinking about possibly starting a new YouTube channel.  On it, I would post videos of my mods and paint jobs along with how I go about working with my blasters.  If you wouldn't mind, please take 2 seconds and vote in the poll on the side of my blog.  If I see enough interests in it, I will take the time and make videos for you all :)  Thank you!

Zombpocalypse Mod Guide

As I was leaving school to come home for the summer, a friend of mine gave me a shopping bag.  He told me there was a Nerf gun in it and he tried to mod it and couldn't get it back together.  I got the chance to open it up and put it together.  Here are pictures, mods, and the integration that I did with the Nerf Recon that was in the bag.

Mods:
  1. AR Removed
  2. Locks Removed
  3. Jam Door Removed
  4. Seal Replacement
  5. Seal Air Hole
  6. Tape Mod for Spring
  7. Accepts any Dart
  8. Painted
  9. Light Integration

Mystery Bag
Parts that were in the bag
AR Removed
Air hole sealed
Tape added to increase spring tension
Seal replaced and then greased
All wiring on one side for easy opening and battery replacement
Light switch and battery pack in handle
Internals on other side of blaster
Blaster Finished and put together
Used the light attachment from Recon
Switch for light in the back of the handle
This was my first time integrating something into a blaster and not just modding or painting it.  The blaster is fully functional.  Please comment and let me know what you think!  Thank you.

Trading Tab

Hey everyone,

I just added a new section to my blog.  I have been coming across a lot of blasters that are nice to have but I am not very much interested in.  So I have decided to post the blasters I have that I am willing to trade.  Some items will be modded and some will not.  If there is a blaster that I have that I am willing to trade that you would like modded before hand, I will gladly be open to doing that.  If you would like to make a trade, send me a message with your offer and we can hopefully work something out.  This is a fun and easy way to let go of blasters you don't like and get some you may like.  Happy Trading!

What do you want?

Hey everyone, I am back and ready for a summer full of modding!  With so many things that I could do, I am indecisive with what to do first.  So I am asking you all for what you would like to see!  I have lots of mods and paint jobs that I have planned, but maybe you have a better idea.  Here are the blasters that I have that have not been modded yet:

  1. Clear Recon
  2. Firefly
  3. Barricade
  4. Lumitron
  5. Double shot
  6. Longshot
  7. Raider
  8. Deploy
So leave a comment with; the blaster, and what you would like to see done (mods, paint jobs, lights, intergrations).  If you have more than one idea, feel free to put them up!  Thanks everyone and hope to hear from you soon.
